Dorothy A. CAUFFIELD
Dorothy A. (Mrs. Thomas R.) CAUFFIELD, 82, of 514 Chestnut St., Ligonier,
died Thursday, Sept. 27, 1984, in Fairfield Township.
She was born Dec. 29, 1901, in Fairfield Township, a daughter of the late
John L. and Emma (MILLER) HOFECKER. She was a member of the West Fairfield
United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Thomas CAUFFIELD; two brothers,
Jesse and Harry HOFECKER; and a sister, Margaret DEWITT. She is survived
by her husband, Thomas R. CAUFFIELD; two daughters, Sarah Margaret CAUFFIELD
of Washington, D.C., and Mary Louise HINMAN of Pullman, Wash,; six grandchildren;
a great-grandchild; two brothers, Ralph HOFECKER of Bolivar RD 1 and James
HOFECKER of Ligonier; four sisters, Lottie RUMMELL of New Florence, and
Sadie SNYDER, Mary ALTER, and Athalene EDMISTON, all of New Florence RD
1.
Funeral services were held Monday, in the Wolford McCracken Funeral Home,
Ligonier, with the Rev. Walter White officiating.
Burial was in Ligoier Valley Cemetery.
Ligonier Echo, Ligonier, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania on October 3, 1984.
