Thomas R. CAUFFIELD
Thomas R. CAUFFIELD , 87, of 514 Chestnut St., Ligonier , died Tuesday,
April 30, 1985, at the Oak Hill Rest Home, Greenburg.
He was born Oct. 30, 1897, in West Fairfield, a son of the late William
A. and Sarah Margaret (CUMMINS) CAUFFIELD. He owned and operated the former
CAUFFIELD General Store and Service Station. He was a member and former
trustee of the West Fairfield United Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy A. (HOFECKER) CAUFFIELD ,
in 1984; a son, Paul Thomas; a sister, Kaziah; and a brother, George. He
is survived by two daughters, Sarah Margaret CAUFFIELD of Washington, D.C.,
and Mary Louise HINMAN of Pullman, Wash.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, in the Wolford-McCracken Funeral Home,
Ligonier, with the Rev. Walter H. White officiating.
Burial was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the West Fairfield United Presbyterian Church,
New Florence RD 1.
