POLLOCK, Mrs. Durell S.
Mrs. Mary MCCONNELL POLLOCK, of 254 North Jevverson Ave.,
Canonsburg, died Saturday, April 6, 1963, at 2:30 PM at her home. Her
death was unexpected, although she had not been in her usual health for
several years.
She was born in N. Strabane Twp. Jan. 4, 1892, a daughter of John
Alexander and Nancy Jane McPHERSON MCCONNELL, and spent all of her life
in the Canonsburg community. She attended, North Strabane Twp. schools,
and graduated from Wilson College.
Mrs. Pollock was a member of the Canonsburg UP Church where she
taught Sunday School a number of yearss, the Women's Missionary Society,
of which she was treasurer for many years, and the Women's Association
of the church.
She was married in November, 1932 to Durell S. POLLOCK, who
survives. Mr. POLLOCK is the operaator of Pollock Shoe Store in
Canonsburg.
Also surviving is one brother, John Arthur, MCCONNELL, Mt. Lebanon.
One brother, Walter S. McCONNELL died November 29, 1959.
A seperate death notice lists the funeral home: Griffith Funeral
Home, Canonsburg, where services were also held in charge of Rev. Paul
R. GRAHAM, asisted by Dr. W.F. HARKEY. Burial in Washington Cemetary.
