Funeral Wednesday For Former Local Street Commissioner

Frank Roberts, who served as street commissioner in Ligonier for 15 years, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Packer, 213 Franklin street. He was 85 years, eight months and 11 days old. Mr. Roberts broke his hip in a fall several weeks ago.

Besides his daughter, he is survived by two brothers, John, of Ligonier township, and William, of Pittsburgh. Three grandchildren also survive: Mrs. Orville Murren, Mrs. McCauslin and Frank Packer, all of Ligonier. Four great-grandchildren also survive.

Friends were received at the Packer home until Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., when services were held there in charge of the Rev. Gerald O. Bishop, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Interment followed in the Ligonier Valley cemetery.
