ROSKO, MILLER, GREENE, KENNEWEG

Andrew ROSKO, 88, died at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday, August 4, 1943, in the
home of his stepdaughter, Mrs. Frank SMOGY, in Cecil, following a three-day
illness. He was born in Hungary.
Mr. ROSKO is survived by a son, Albert ROSKO of Bishop.
The funeral was held Saturday morning with requiem high mass in St. Mary's
church, Cecil. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mrs. Dauphine THILMONT MILLER, 67, wife of Frank MILLER, died at 2:00 p.m.
Thursday, July 29, 1943, in her home in Cecil, following a brief illness.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Ernest MILLER of Cecil;
three sisters: Mrs. Josephine CHEESEBROUGH of Bridgeville, Mrs.Mary KIDD of
Edmonton, Canada, and Mrs. J. C. PHILLIPS of McDonald; two brothers: Leon
THILMONT of Steubenville and Nestor THILMONT of Cecil.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 1, in the Fry funeral home,
Bridgeville. Burial was in the Rennerdale cemetery.

Mrs. Ellen A. GREENE, wife of William Green, died Friday, August 6, 1943,
in her home to Elm street, Salem, Ohio, following a six-month illness.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilber MCELROY of the Northside,
Pittsburgh, and for several years resided in Valley street, McDonald.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons: Howard O Lisbon, Ohio,
and Sgt. Wilmer, stationed at Camp Stewart, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma
SCHWECHLIK of Salem, Ohio, and Mrs. Kenneth LONG of Lisbon, Ohio: her
mother, Mrs. Sarah MCELROY of Mt. Washington: two sisters, Mrs. Hazel
GARDNER of Murrysville, and Mrs. Bertha FURMAN of Mt. Washington. There are
six grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Monday afternoon in a Salem funeral home,
conducted by the Rev. M. R. SEARLESS. Burial was in the Hope cemetery.

John Fred KENNEWEG, 79, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 1943, in his
home, Main street Laurel hill, McDonald, following a four year illness of
heart trouble and complications.
A son of the late Christopher and Rose VETTER KENNEWEG, he was born May 6,
1864, in Pittsburgh, where he attended the public schools. Later he
attended the Ingleside academy, McDonald. He and Catherine EILER were
married December 10, 1891, in McDonald by the Rev. W. D. IRONS. Mrs.
KENNEWEG was a carpenter by occupation and was a member of the Junior Order
of United American Mechanics for over fifty years. He was a member of the
McDonald church. He was a lifelong Republican and was a school director of
South Fayette township for twelve years. Besides his wife, he is survived
by two sons: John F. KENNEWEG, Jr., and Arthur E, KENNEWEG, Jr., both of
McDonald, one sister Mrs. Molly HAMPSON, of McDonald; one brother Walter W.
KENNEWEG of McDonald, and two grandsons, Graham and Donald KENNEWEG. A
daughter, Catherine Idilla KENNEWEG, died May 16, 1896.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. this Friday in the home of his
son, Arthur E. KENNEWEG , 423 Fannie street, McDonald, conducted by the Rev.
Frank W. James, pastor of the McDonald Methodist church.. Burial will be in
Robinson's Run cemetery.
