Private services wre held for Charles TUCKER, 97, of
Monongahela, who died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1997, in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born Aug. 2, 1900, in New Eagle, a son of the late Joseph and
Mary BOWIE TUCKER.
Mr. TUCKER was a lifelong resident of the Monongahela area where he was
a member of the Church of Jesus Christ
He was a self-employed automobile mechanic in East Monongahela and was
also a retired deputy game warden for the PA Game Commission.
Mr. TUCKER was a member of the East Monongahela Sportsmens Club and was
an avid outdoorsman in soccer, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,
Adelaide MATTA TUCKER on June 23, , 1993; sx sisters, Bessie SMITH, Mary Ann
CHERRY, Margaret GRIFFITH, Harriet NEIDERMEYER, Anna **NE, and Elsie TUCKER;
and six brothers, Robert, William, George, Harry, James and Joseph TUCKER.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean TOTH of Chambersburg; a son and
daughter-in-law, Charles and Jeanne TUCKER of Monroeville; one sister, Alma
ROUSE of Monongahela; eight grandchildren, Charles and David TOTH, Charles
P., Peter J., and Stephen A. TUCKER, Jeanianne SEDLACK, Mary Lynne TUCKER,
and Christine M. TUCKER, and four great-grandchildren, Tamyra TOTH,
Caroline Paige TUCKER, Charles TUCKER and Christine Julia SEDLAK.
The L. M. FRYE Funeral Home Inc., Monongahela, handled the arrangements.
