Marie: Most newspapers in the Pittsburgh area are on file at the Hillman
Library located in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, near the University of
Pittsburgh. They have them on mico-file. Most of the archives for the local
newspapers are subjected to research by a newspaper employee. You can
request a old obituary for a small cost. Also remember that the Pittsburgh
Press newspaper was joined to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette newspaper a number
of years ago. We have only 3 major newspapers in Pittsburgh: USA Today,
Pittsburgh Post Gazette and Pittsburgh Tribune Review. Many small
newspapers for local news. McKeesport may have a local newspaper, but I
don't know the name of it . I live about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh along
the Allegheny River. McKeesport is out side of Pittsburgh and you should try
and find a local paper for that area. You could also get a death certificate
for Bernard Rodman from the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health, Division of Vital
Records, P. O. Box 1528, New Castle, Pa. 16103-1528. At one time they only
cost $3.00. Write to them and request a form to apply for the death or birth
certificate. Tell them it is for genealogy research. If I can be of further
