RIEUX, SMITH, GUNTZ
Mrs. Elizabeth REIUX, wife of Joseph RIEUX, of Valley street,
died at her home on Saturday night, from the effects of taking
rough-on-rats. Saturday morning she spread the poison on bread and ate it,
friends not knowing of her act until some time later. Physicians were
summoned and made every effort to save her life, but without avail. She was
46 years old and leaves a husband and two sons to mourn her demise.
Mrs. Mary M., wife of David SMITH, died at her home on Grant
street Thursday evening, aged 28 years. Mrs. SMITH was born in Scotland and
immigrated to this country with her parents when she was two years old. Her
husband and one child survive. The funeral services will be held Monday
morning at 9 o'clock at St. Alphonsus church, where High Mass of Requiem
will be celebrated by Father LAUCKS. Interment at Noblestown.
Mrs. W. J. GUNTZ died at her home on North McDonald street on
Thursday evening after an illness of about one week. Mrs. GUNTZ was aged 30
years and leaves a husband and two children, aged 8 and 4 years. The
funeral services will be held at her late home this, Friday, evening at 8
o'clock, Rev. IRONS officiating. the remains will be taken to Saxonburg,
Butler County, where interment takes place on Sunday.
