LAUFF, GEVENOSKY, VIZZA, BELITSKUS, MILLS, ALDERSON, KEHM, IAGNEMMA, CUBBAGE



Mrs. Martha Elizabeth LAUFF, 69, of McDonald, died Monday,
February 13, 1984, in the Canonsburg hospital.

A daughter of the late William and Margaret KELLY CHETTLE, she
was born May 25, 1914, in Westland.

On June 1, 1953, she married Raymond LAUFF, who survives along
with a son, John LAUFF, with the U. S. Navy, stationed in Iceland; three
daughters, Jane GUAY of Phoenix, Ariz., Patricia CUMMINS of R. D. 2, Avella,
and Shirley PIAZZA of R. D. 2, Canonsburg; two sisters, Ruth REDICK and
Sarah THOMAS of McDonald; and 10 grandchildren. A sister, Angeline BRIDGE,
and two brothers, Joseph and Samuel, are deceased.

Friends are being received at the Frank J. Nation Funeral Home,
Inc., McDonald, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in charge
of the Rev. Edward R. DELAIR, pastor of the Trinity U. P. Church, McDonald.
Burial will be in Robinson's Run cemetery.



Walter GEVENOSKY, Jr., 54, of McDonald, died Friday, February
10, 1984, in his home.

A son of Walter and Dominica GEVENOSKY, Sr., he was born April
2, 1929, in Eldersville.

Mr. GEVENOSKY served in the U. S. Army during the Korean
Conflict. He was a construction worker for the John PANGERSIS, Jr.,
Construction Co.

He was a member of St. Alphonsus R. C. Church, McDonald; the
McDonald Volunteer Fire Department, and the LaSolidarite Association of
McDonald.

Surviving are his wife, Geraldine F. TROPECK GEVENOSKY of
McDonald; a son, Thomas Edward GEVENOSKY, at home; two daughters, Patricia
Ann APEL of Meadville and Shirley Marie ALLISON of Hickory; two brothers,
Roman GEVENOSKY of Weirton, W. Va., and Constance GEVENOSKY of Avella; seven
sisters, Laura STRUNGA of Burgettstown, Wanda CRUNY of Avella, Helen FITZ of
Wickcliffe, Ohio, Jeanie DANA of Avella, Stella CHERENKO of Burgettstown,
Felicia DAGNANA of Hickory, and Pauline WOJCIK of Avella; and two
grandchildren. Several brothers and sisters are deceased.

Mass of Christian burial was held Monday morning in St.
Alphonsus R. C. Church, McDonald, in charge of the Rev. Francis L. PUCCI.
Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the
Frank J. Nation Funeral Home, Inc., McDonald.



William F. VIZZA, 78, of Pittsburgh, who coached football and
basketball in 1945 and 1946 at McDonald High School and later at Duquesne
High School, died Sunday, February 5, 1984, in the Leader Country Meadows
Nursing Center, South Fayette Township.

Mr. VIZZA played football and basketball at Duquesne University.

He is survived by a son, William A. VIZZA of Bethel Park; two
sisters, Theresa COSTANZO of Brookline and Jennie DENEE of Dormont, and
three grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held February 8 in St. Pius X Church,
Brookline. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.



George BELITSKUS, Sr., 70, of R. D. 2, McDonald, died Tuesday,
February 7, 1984, in the Veterans Administration hospital, Oakland.

He was born in R. D. 2, McDonald.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret BELITSKUS of R. D. 2, McDonald;
four sons, George BELITSKUS, Jr., of R. D. 2, McDonald, Patrick BELITSKUS of
Concord, Calif.; William BELITSKUS of Kane, and Robert BELITSKUS of San
Mateo, Calif.; three grandchildren; a brother, John BELITSKUS of R. D. 2,
McDonald; a niece, and a nephew.

Mass of Christian burial was held last Saturday morning in St.
Agatha's R. C. Church, Bridgeville. Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery.
Arrangements were in charge of the Caughey Funeral Home, 432 Washington
Avenue, Bridgeville, Pa.



William MILLS, 89, of Pittsburgh, formerly of McDonald, died
Tuesday, January 31, 1984, in the West Penn hospital Pittsburgh.

He had been a resident of McDonald for 79 years before moving to
Pittsburgh.

Surviving are two daughters, Alice MILLER and Christine CALCUTTA
of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three
great-great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and two nieces.



Mrs. Juliana ALDERSON, 85, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of
Hickory, died Thursday, February 9, 1984.

A daughter of Julian and Leona BARROT FORTUNE, she was born
September 6, 1898, in Gladden.

She was a retired beautician and had been proprietor of a Clover
Farm Store in Hickory. She was a member of the Hickory U. P. Church. She
had resided in Hickory for 52 years before moving to Arizona two years ago.

Surviving are a son, Vern ALDERSON of Sun City; and a niece.
Her husband, John Wesley ALDERSON, died in 1956.

Funeral services were held Monday morning in Houston in charge
of the Rev. Harvey O. JOHNSON. Burial was in Oak Spring cemetery.



William G. KEHM, 68, of R. D. 1, Oakdale, died Thursday,
February 9, 1984, in his home.

A son of the late George and Margaret KEHM, he was born March
19, 1916, in Oakdale.

He was a member of the Oakdale U. P. Church and was a farmer.

Surviving are a sister, Freda LUTZ of McDonald; two brothers,
Harry and George KEHM of Oakdale; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon in the Thomas
and Little funeral home, Oakdale, in charge of the Rev. Donald MCNAIR.
Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery.



Alphonse L. IAGNEMMA, 70, who taught for many years in South
Fayette High School, died Saturday, January 28, 1984, in his home in South
Fayette Township.

Mr. IAGNEMMA taught in South Fayette Schools for 42 years before
his retirement in 1977. He also taught Italian at Duquesne University. He
served as secretary for South Fayette Township in the 1950's.

He was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America,
the South Fayette Kiwanis Club, SNPJ Lodge No. 6, Sygan; and St. Agatha's R.
C. Church, Bridgeville.

He is survived by a daughter, Maryann OVESNEY of Collier
Township; a son, Alphonse L. IAGNEMMA, Jr., of South Fayette; two sisters,
Rose SIMON and Lena AMBROSE of Morgan; a brother, Victor IAGNEMMA of South
Fayette; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held the morning of February 1 in St.
Agatha's R. C. Church, Bridgeville. Burial was in St. Agatha's cemetery.



Mrs. June ECKELBERGER, 54, of R. D. 3, McDonald, died Tuesday,
February 7, 1984, in the Canonsburg hospital.

A daughter of Letitia LAUTHER PHILLIPS of Canonsburg and the
late Darlington PHILLIPS, she was born December 8, 1929, in Cecil Township.

Mrs. ECKELBERGER was a member of the Venice U. P. Church, and
the Miller's Run Grange.

Besides her mother, she leaves three daughters, Candace RYAN of
Houston, Mrs. Larry (Cheryl) WAZ of Venice, and Robyn SNEDDON of Washington;
two sisters, Mrs. Blair (Patricia) GORDON and Mrs. Steve (Darlene) NICHOLAS
of Canonsburg; a brother, Everett PHILLIPS of Washington; and two
grandchildren. Her husband, Robert G. ECKELBERGER, died November 30, 1981.
A brother, Wayne Scott PHILLIPS, is deceased/

Funeral services were held last Friday in the Coleman funeral
home, Cecil, in charge of the Rev. W. Robert CALDWELL, pastor of the Venice
U. P. Church. Burial was in Venice cemetery.



Edwin F. CUBBAGE, 75, formerly of Cecil Township, died Monday,
January 30, 1984, in the Washington Hospital Extended Care Facility.

A son of John Alexander and Sarah Letitia MAWHINNEY CUBBAGE, he
was born February 8, 1908, in Cecil. He was a member of the Canonsburg U.
P. Church.

Surviving are a sister, Letitia CUBBAGE of Claysville; and
several nieces and nephews. Four brothers, James, George, John, and Glenn
CUBBAGE, are deceased.

Funeral services were held February 2 in Canonsburg in charge of
the Rev. G. Sherman OTT. Burial was in Venice cemetery.
