Shirley, I'm responding to your reply to Mary Bates. In it, you wrote the
following:
"I don't know this one, but a house fire killed 22 year old Susan Nace
Braden
in 1925 in Latrobe..."
I hit a block in trying to learn about Rebecca (Becca) Jane Nace
(7/8/1854 - 2/3/1928). She was married to David Franklin Blansett, and I
believe those two may have met in Ligonier. I have the names of Peter
Nace and Elizabeth Shelly and possibly 6 children from York.
I'm wondering if Susan Nace Braden may be a granddaughter of one of
Becca's siblings.
I thought Becca's parents came from York, but can't get enough
information to verify. I believe Becca's brother was killed in the Civil
War and that Becca's mother died someplace that required a train ride
from Greensburg.
Do you have anything on Susan and/or her parents that might be a
connection?
Regards,
Jim Linhart
