Hello Kim
You ask,

I am still embarrass that I sent this letter to the group, I wanted to
edited it, and then forward it, however I forgot to change the address,
my sincere apologies to the group! In answer to your question GTA, is
Germans to America, which is a work that indexes the names of millions
of German French, and Swiss, plus Dutch names, on ship records, that
arrived in the U.S. form 1850-1883. I however would like to mention
here that the library, I have access to this information, is 78 miles
north of where I live, and although I work in this city once a week, it
is rare when I have the time to spend to do research, which is why in
the past I have not offer to do look-ups. Here is a URL, that explains
more about Germans to America,
http://www.genealogy.com/gene/www/emig/GermansToAmerica.html this web
page is only a review, of volumes 1-5, there are 55 volumes that I know
of, and by now perhaps more. Also here is a page dealing with German
emigration records,
http://www.genealogy.com/gene/reg/WELT/usa.html#emigrec it will help
explain, some of the information that is available in books like the
index to the Wurttenberg records, that I posted previously. Hope this
may be of help to someone!
Best wishes to everyone, and looking forward to Clare's web page on the
goats.
