do you think it's possible that she OWNED the property in question? You could
do a deed search.
I guess i'm confused about what you mean by a "reverse directory" If you
now the person's name- was it HARRIET GILES (?)- then the directory will list
this name alphabetically and give the address they lived at. Or are you
saying that you know the address they lived at, but not the name???
If you know the address, you could locate the census for it. There are
some indexes (maybe Carnegie can help) that tell you what ward certain
streets were in in certain years of census. That is, if you know they lived
on Pearl st., ask what ward Pearl street was in the nearest availible census.
Also, have you checked the brides idex for this woman's name?. If they were
divorced, then they were married and there must be a record someplace!
