I have BLACKs in my family tree. My grandmother was Minnie Morgan Black
(1871-1917), who married William Mackey Myler (1864-1955). Minnie's
grandfather was born in County Tyrone in Ireland about 1796. He married
Margaret Black (no relative) and they came to America about 1820,
settling in Philadelphia, PA, until 1832 when they moved to Pittsburgh.
They had two sons, John Wesley and Thomas James. Thomas married Sara
Jane McDade McCracken about 1854. Sara and Thomas had six children.
Minnie was their fourth daughter. Does this connect to your Black
family?
