I appreciated the e-mails I've received about the spelling of Pittsburgh. I
now don't feel so, what should I say, ignorant.

Suzie gave me the following web page address:

http://www.clpgh.org/clp/exhibit/hname.html and this was taken from that
page:

"Pittsburgh has been spelled with an h officially and historically since its
founding in 1758--except for the period between 1890 and 1911."

Since the spelling of Pittsburgh on the "Miss Lillian Montgomery" photograph
is spelled without the "h", this could at least put the picture in those
years and help to identify Miss Montgomery.
