Subject: [ALL] McElhaney/Wilson/Obney/Chambers/ of Findley Township

Hello,
Is anyone researching the McElhaney or Wilson surnnames? I am trying to go
back further on these lines. I have a James McElhaney born in Beaver
Township and married to a Sarah Chambers/Chamberling/Chamberlain. Their
daughter was Catherine McElhaney b. abt 1841 in Beaver Co. She married John
T. Wilson, and they moved to Findley Township, Allegheney Co. where their
children were born. They were James Wilson (1867), Thomas, Mary Malinda,
Nancy and Margaret Wilson Corbett (1878)-my great grandmother. John T.
Wilson was the son of Thomas Wilson and Nancy (?). Thomas died young
(supposedly buried in Hebron Cemetery). Nancy married an Obney (might be
John Obney). Catherine McElhaney Wilson lived on Potato Garden Run in
Clinton, PA until she died in 1929. From what I hear, there are still Wilson
descendants living on that property.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Linnea
