BOATING ON THE RIVER

I also had been curious about the source for River Boats.

There was a William Cook , of Germany who came about 1848 and lived near the
River at Tarentum. His occupation listed on 1860 census and for his widow
and children on later census, said:

BOATING ON THE RIVER

William Cook, wife Margaret Cook, children Christian, Charles, Henry, George?

please let me know if these names appear on any boat roster. as operating
river boats upriver on the Allegheny River.
