I am still, yes, still, looking for information re: my gg-grandfather John
Singleton. He came from England in 1887 and definately was NOT Catholic! I
have heard from my grandmother that her father (John's son, Francis) was
very, very, Anti-Catholic! They were Methodist in this country. I last saw
them on the 1900 census in Turtle Creek. I have been totally unable to find
any information on John Singleton and his wife Kate Bird. I have written for
a 10 yr death search for them both (I know for sure she died before 1910 and
he died soon after) but of course, I received NO RECORD FOUND. I saw the
post about the Catholic Diocese and thought, just maybe.....there could be
some information on other denominations? Please tell me there is a chance
here!! This Singleton family is the hardest line that I have traced! Very
small family. Thanks.
