Hi Vince, my Dad worked for the B&O in New Castle PA from 1943 until his death in 1953. They had a large facility called the Roundhouse in Mahoningtown section of New Castle where there was also a station. We often took the train to PGH. My Dad's jobs as a fireman on the B&O took him as far west as Willard Ohio. There were several stops I believe from the west to PGH but, it's so long ago I can't remember. Carrie in CA

> In 1877 the Union Depot & Hotel (upper floors were the hotel) was
destroyed by fire by strikers. In 1875, almost exactly two years
before, my great-aunt died in one of the rooms. It was suggested
by one list-member that she may have been coming or going from
somewhere else. That she may not have particularly meant to stay
at that hotel, but trouble with her heart may have caused her to
stop in Pittsburg.
If so, she was either:
1. Heading West from Philadelphia, or
2. Heading East from somewhere West of Pittsburg.
Does anyone know the a couple/few stops that may have come from
further West of Pittsburg?
