Jim,
I hope that it was a little cooler in Aug of 1946. I went in Aug 27,
1962. First night, the DI came in after sunset and said it was 106 degrees
outside. Well, 106 outside was cooler than inside those beautiful
barracks! I think they oughta give San Antonio back to the
Mexicans. What a hell hole!
