Ruth,
Thanks for your suggestions. He had no children by either wife. His second wife was still living as a widow in the 1930 census. I have not attempted to search for her obituary or death record since I do not know when she died. But I would suspect that he was buried next to his first wife. Maybe or maybe not. As far as I have researched, he had no siblings in the U.S.
Joseph

I would possibly think that he did NOT die in Pennsylvania - is why they
would not have a death certificate for him. What states did children or
siblings live in? Possibly could have been visiting them and died. Anyone
have a obit or his wifes obit that may give his location of death? Try
searching for siblings death info or his children or spouse -
Good luck,
Ruth Sprowls
