Donna,

I have noticed no difference in the burials during the winter of 1927 in our
cemetery. In fact, single burials were often dug in a section trench-style,
I suppose, for some burials are noted within the same day they died,
especially those with infectious diseases. Family plots had burials within
a few days, unless there were special circumstances (like major storms). I
didn't see anything of the sort in that month of that year. Burials with a
few weeks delay after death usually meant that the person was not at home
when he died, etc.

I have a question on the date of being buried if someone died in the winter

of a certain yr would they be listed as being buried in the next yr since I
know that in the winter months people are buried in the spring in Pa. or
as
soon as the ground unfreezes
