Photo: The mototman of car 1030, signed for 94 Sharpsburg

If memory serves me right, the 94 Sharpsburg trolley ran from Sharpsburg, across the
62nd st bridge, turned right on Butler st to the 34th street Dough Boy statue, continued
to Penn Avenue (a one way street) and into downtown, made a left at 7th st, a left onto
Liberty, turned left at 32nd st, right at Penn ave which was now a 2 way street, bearing
left at 34th onto Butler, following the inbound route back to Sharpsburg.

The location of the photo seems to be at the loop on Butler st, just after crossing the 62nd
st bridge. Although the building is gone, the loop was still there a few years ago. I'm not sure
if something has been build in the spot recently.

The year of the photo? Most likely in my lifetime, around the 1940/50 era. The route is still
used by the 91A bus.

I Googled Pittsburgh Railways Co- the private company that became PAT
and cmae up with this neat site

On this page is a conductor picture. My dad worked for PRC for 30 some
years in maintenance, so this was interesting.
Another good site showing old street cars is: *http://tinyurl.com/6qlb4m*
I saw pictures of all style there including double deckers.
