I believe that you can purchase all kinds of blank charts from the LDS &
they may have them advertised on line to view. A long time ago a man I knew
sent me a copy of a huge circular chart on both his & his wife's lines
because I joined with both of them on lines. It didn't show the dates but
it was a really interesting one that branched out the generations.

Years ago, where I used to live, we had remodeled a room for an office I
had. We had paneled it so we put in a 4 by 8 sheet of cork board in it on
one wall for me to work with. I cut the names etc. out after typing them &
used the tiny round headed pins to put up each generation in the rows & used
a different color for those who had service. It was pretty neat & fun to do
in those days. It might be that a person would think of purchasing a sheet
like this & frame it to hang to work with, if there was a place to do so.
Then you can make all the changes you like. Otherwise you might just get a
very large foldout chart to fill in & hang up. I liked this because I was
able to go back to multiple surnames for my direct ancestors. I was not
interested in doing the aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
