They are indexed as Joseph and Elizabeth Skinlell.

Try searching again.

It happens quite often. One possible reason is the neighbors gave the
information and didn't really know the family, so they're there but the
information is so garbled you wouldn't recognize it. I found one census
page that all of the ages were offset one line from the names, so
searching for name and date of birth would come up with nothing.
