These are interesting questions, and would like to know the answers, as well.
Hopefully someone will reply to the PAARMSTR list with the answers.

Please tell me more about the Indiana Gazette? Was it published about 1850 to
1860? Was there a newspaper in Freeport during that period? I need to find
some microfilm or books of abstracts for the obits during that time.

I am searching for any kind of death record or even a deed showing a land
sale for my Stephen DRURY who was age 83 in 1850 and lived in Freeport. He
owned some kind of business, perhaps a watch repair or jewelry store in 1840.

Are there City Directories for Freeport during the 1840-1850 period? Perhaps
there would be an advertisement for the DRURY business?

Stephen had a son or grandson named David DRURY born 1815, a painter, who
was living with him in Freeport in 1850.

Stephen also had a daughter Catherine Drury born about 1805 who married a
George F. KEENER of Freeport, about 1838 and may have been living in Freeport
during the same time period.

Please give me suggestions about where to look. I live in Alabama, and the
resources mentioning Armstrong Co, PA are few.

Thanks, Helen
