I am looking for information on the family of my great grandfather,
Joseph Boswell (1845-1913).
I can place him in Beaver Co. PA , North Swickley Twp in both the 1860
and the 1970 census.
He was the son of George and Catherine (Smith) Boswell. Joesph had two
brothers and three sisters. Also , Joseph served with the 134th Regiment
of the PA volunteers from Beaver Co. in the civil war.
Joseph married Anna Purvis (or Parvis). Anna immigrated to the US. in
1856 from England. I can place Joseph and Anna in Meadville PA. around
1886 until the time of their deaths 1913 and 1915 respectively. Joseph
worked for the railroad when he first came to Meadville. Joseph and Anna
had four children: Katherine (1874-1935), Sarah (1870- ?), Charles S. of
Franklin, PA., and Frank A. of Meadville, PA.

I am new to genealogy and have been researching this for about a month.
I would appreciate any information or help anyone might offer on any of
the above individuals and /or their decendents. Of course I would be
willing to share any information I might have.
