Brian,
Don't know how to check on this but I do know that my great-great
grandfather Valentine Mohney was called for service in the Civil War. His
wife Sarah Anne Mulkin(s) was in a wheelchair and they had young children.
Her brother took Valentine's place and was killed. Valentine was called up
again but the war was over before his company was called up.
