I am looking for the connection between my gggggrandmother, Martha (married
to James P. McGaughey) and Elihu Evans who would have been born about 1794.
Martha is listed with two of her four children on the 1860 Beaver County
census as living with Elihu Evans, a farmer in New Brighton Borough. Blanche
and Alexander also lived at the farm that year...but sister Elizabeth and
brother James A. did not. Their father, James P., also served in the Civil
War so the family may have been separated for that reason. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
