I have multiple ancestors in Grandview cemetary (Big Beaver township) whose
funeral director was "Algoe" according to Grandview's records. I am
desperate to find out what became of the records of this funeral home.

I found William G. "Algeo" (seems to be the correct spelling) in the 1900
City directory for Beaver falls, business at 1318 Seventh Ave, "funeral
director and picture framing".

Yesterday, I found a mention of "Algeo and Sons Coffin Works" being listed
in Baumann's "History of Beaver County". According to the citation, this
company was out of business by the turn of the century.

I have called every funeral home in Beaver Falls that I could find a listing
for.. (Campbell, Lutton, Spratt, Leavell and even Druschel in New Brighton)
.. but nobody has even heard of this funeral home.

Can anyone out there in the ether shed some light on William Algeo funeral
home in Beaver Falls, and the fate of its records?
