My Edwards ancestors were in Darlington Twp. from 1860-1880, perhaps longer. I never saw it identified by West Darlington in those years. Was this West Darlington a later distinction? If so, do you know when it was changed? Thanks for the newspapers & obits. Carol in AZ

I don't know of any border changes, think they've remained the same.
However, be sure to check out Lawrence County, I think Little Beaver was
right next to both Beaver & Lawrence Counties. Also, some of my relatives
were in West Darlington Twp., about 3 miles from Ohio border, so they shopped
& went to church in East Palestine, Columbiana County, O., as it was closest
to them. A lot of them were buried in Ohio, also.

Also, obits & marriages - a lot of the locals advertised in the East
Palestine newspapers, which are available online.
