Andrea...I found a William and Mary Gibson in 1850, as follows:

1850 Census - North Sewickley, Beaver Co, Pa...William Gibson, age 46, born Pa; Mary, age 40, born Pa; children: Abner, age 20; Elizabeth 18, both born Pa. Also another child, George Allen (Gibson?) 10, born Maine.

1840 Census - Brighton, Beaver Co, Pa...William Gibson, age 70 to 80.

1830 Census - Beaver Co, Pa...There were two William Gibsons, one living in Brighton, age 60 to 70 and another living in Ohio Twp, who was age 30 to 40.

1820 Census - Elizabeth, Allegheny Co, Pa - There were two William Gibsons (perhaps Father and Son?) The older one was over 45, I think.
