Listers,

I am new to this list, having just noticed that my Tallant line had a
brother move from the Allegheny/Westmoreland County area to Beaver
county. I have searched the list archives for Tallon/Tallant with only one
not very illuminating hit, thus this query.

Would anyone have any information on Tallons or Tallants in Beaver
County? The family I am particularly interested in is the family of Robert
Tallon/Tallant and Eliza (Engle). They apparently had 12 children, but I
only know the names of two of them. One is Washington D. Tallon, who
served as a Musician in Company I, 140th PA Vol Inf in the Civil War. He
seems to have lived, as of 1885, near Beaver, PA. The other son whose name
I know is M. Emmet Tallon. I have no further information on him. Robert
Tallon was the son of Henry (1792-1870) and Sarah (Pinkerton) Tallon
(1785-1866), who lived in Westmoreland County. If anyone is interested, I
have a substantial amount of information on some of their other
descendants, as opposed to the meager amount of info on Robert's line.
