The Civil War ended all slavery. I would contact the Fairfax Co, VA
Genealogy Society. They are a VERY active society. Many very good books
have been published on Fairfax Co, and they can be found a
www.hearthstonebooks.com. In addition, the USGenWeb site for Fairfax Co is
a good place check. meg
