Hi Bedford Listers,

I'm new to this list having perhaps just found a a crack in my big brick
wall over the 4th.

A distant cousin told me one of my Great Grandfathers, JACOB GLASS, was
born 15 MAR 1832 in the area of Morrison Cove, Bedford Co.

Was Morrison Cove a town or village?? I can't find it in my DeLorme Atlas.I
thought it may have been along a river because of the "cove".

She also said Jacob's father was BARTHOMELY GLASS,and was one of five
brothers that came from Lancaster Co.One of the other brothers was
Hugh"Lord Grizzly" Glass.He was called Lord Grizzly because he had killed a
bear in 1823 with his bare hands.This sounds like folklore, but--??

Barthomely's wife was a SARAH MILLER.

I hope someone on the list can help me with some of these places and names.
This is my first time researching in Bedford Co. and I need a place to start.
