Hi all,

My husband's great-grandfather went to Six Mile Run, Bedford County (from Wales) in the mid 1880's to help with the coal mining.

Can anyone tell me where I could find any information on the mining, how and why the miners went over.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
