Looking through the 1880 Bedford Census, I found one of my
BENNETTs, Espy John, who had been widowed in 1873 when his
wife, Drusilla (HYMES) had died due to complications from the
birth of their son, Theodore.

Before looking through this film (actually on CD at the local FHC),
I had been under the impression that their children had lived with him.
Nor did I know who her parents were. But.... looking at the entries, I
found him (Espy) living alone. Searching further, I found the children
living with the Philip & Eliza J. (??) HYMES family. They are listed
as grandchildren.

So, that solved who Drusilla's parents were....

Has anybody done any research on the HYMES family? Their
farm was right across the Mason-Dixon line, on the PA side, in
Mann Township, I think. (I think it's Mann, I've been to the farm,
but can't remember the twp.) I am also wondering the maiden name
of Eliza?

If anybody has any info, I'd appreciate hearing from you...

Jerry
