Subject: Burial of Soldiers in Bedford County per the Bedford Inquirer 1908
Date: Tue, 5 Nov 2002 13:59:20 -0500

(Some of you have asked me about how this listing is posted...it is a simple
transcription of a newspaper article from 1908, the newspaper being the
"Bedford Inquirer." As such, naturally the burials being shown are those of
Civil War and earlier burials, as known to them in 1908. Since that time I
am sure that there have been other burials discovered. So, take this for
what it is worth for the time frame given. They are being posted roughly
in alphabetical order by township name. [Except where someone has requested
me to jump ahead.] There is no index for this list, so it is not easy for
me to find a name you may be requesting...Carol E.

P. S. There is a portion missing from Hopewell and Juniata Twps. which I
will try to get for you.)
