I've been working on cleaning out files today
[yuk] but have made some interesting 'finds' in the process. I have a few
pages of excerpts of unrecorded wills of Bedford Co. and if by now some
have been filmed or recorded they still may prove of value to others, and so I
pass them along. All info. in included as I have it and all spelling is
how it appears:



ARMSTRONG, John, Cumberland Valley. Will
dated 1770. Names: wife Elenor; sons: John, James, William, Joseph,
George; daus: Mary Armstrong, Isabella. Exr: David Wallace,

BOYD, Thomas. Will dated Sep 04,
1794. Names: brother Samuel (living on Jacob's Creek, Fayette Co.,);

First funeral expenses paid, next Brother Lavering to become compensated; and
brother Reeds Account of books settled. What remains I bequeath to Mr.
Thomas Coak, and Mr. Francis Asbury Bishops of the Methodist Episcopal Church of

Hampshire Co Virginia, on south side of Sideling Hill on the head waters of
Joseph Bonnett Run); sons: Thomas, John (tract of land in Beans Cove,
Cumberland Valley, at headwaters of Flintstone Mountain). Exr:
wife. Wit: Isaac Dolston, Isaac Plummer, Matthias Shitz. Vol

CLARK, William. Will dated 1794.
Names: wife Margaret; son Stephen (tract) Dunnings Creek, part of old
tract); son Samuel Thomas (part of tract adj Stephen), the division to include
dwelling houses; son William (residue of tract adj Samuel Thomas division);
Daniel Clark (tract on Dunnings Creek, warrant in his name Apr 04, 1787).
Balance of estate divided amongst children viz: James, John, Mary McCoy,
Elizabeth Anceom, Margaret Gordon, Rachel Sappington. Vol 21 page
