Subject: Mary Ann Oster Nagel?

Hi,

I'm trying to confirm (or disprove) a hypothesis regarding the ancestry of one of my Nagel ancestors, Mary Ann, who married Frederick Nagel. I believe she might have been born Mary Ann Oster.

George Oster named a daughter, Mary, in his will in 1791, and after he died, Jacob Nagle (the son of Frederick Nagel) entered into an administrator's bond with Barbara Oster and Henry Wertz (Henry married Mary Ann after her first husband, Frederick Nagel, died in 1775). If Mary Ann was George Oster's daughter, this would make sense as the three individuals entering the bond would be a daughter, a grandson, and a son-in-law of the deceased. I am also persuaded by the fact that Frederick Nagel named one of his sons George, which would make sense if Frederick's father-in-law were George Oster.

Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone know who Mary Oster married?

Much obliged,

steve gaskill
