I have an Amanda GARLICK married to Jonathan BEQUEATH with [at least]
two children: Bessie Mae BEEGLE, b. 1886, and Lennie Viola FOOR, b.
1901. I would like to determine who Amanda's parents were. In the
'GARLICK Family History' compiled by Paul L. GARLICK (deceased) there
are two possibilities:

Amanda Jean GARLICK, born about 1861, daughter of Abraham GARLICK and
his second wife Julia Ann LAYTON.

Amanda GARLICK, born about 1857, daughter of Adam GARLICK and Margaret
LAYTON.

In the GARLICK book, page 5, it states that Mary GARLICK and James
LAYTON had six children: Bartley 1827, Wesley 1828, Julia Ann 1830,
Hester 1833, Margaret 1836, and Mary J. 1838. But in a letter from Paul
GARLICK dated 11 Feb 1990 he stated that while Mary married a James
LAYTON first and William MAIKEN second, the father of the above six
children was a different James LAYTON.
