The best place to find information on your ancestors is the courthouse in
Bedford. And I've always found the land records to be the best thing to
check out.
I know if you write to the courthouse in Bedford they'll send you an index
of all the Oswalts and Hustons who owned property in that are, and the index
will show the book and page numbers, and dates, so you can then order the
deeds and usually find out more than you expected.

I'd love to be able to post the address for the courthouse right here for
you, but I can't find it. Once I had all the deeds for my Hamiltons,
Willisons, Twiggs and Gordons, I must have thought that was all I'd ever
want. Actually, since I moved a year ago, I probably just can't find the
address right now.

So, let's hear from someone else out there who has the address for the
courthouse.
