Subject: Big Oval Cleared Area South of Bedford - What is it?

Hello Listers, on the TerraServer website there's an area on Shobers Run
Lane below Bedford Springs Hotel that looks oval shaped & cleared. It
also looks like there's a parking area to the left of the oval. Does
anyone know what that is? Is it just an agriculturally cleared area, or
is it an old Civil War encampment, or maybe neither? Also, does anyone
know a source of info for the Caledonia Iron Works that existed
somewhere in that area named Burning Bush? Thanks for your help.
