I have several John Clingermans in my files. Unfortunately, I don't have a
name of a wife or a birthyear. for ex I have John son of Frederick and
Catherine. Probably born in Bedford Co or Montgomeery . At leasst on of his sbs moved
to Ohio. see if any of these names crop up in your family: Jacob, Frederick,
Philip, Peter ( my ancestor) Margaret who married a Davis, Catherine who m. a
Felton, and Mary who m. an Enslow. and Sarah. Frederick and Catherine were
born @ 1755 so having children in the 1770s-1790. Barnes is a Bedford co name.
There were also some Johns in the 1800 census of PA who were 26-45 in
Northhampton Co.
I'll keep looking, but I only do direct ancestors and don't follow
uncles, cousins etc.
