Also Anderson, Booger, Cable, Elder, Eymart, Gargon, Hunt, Huston, Irwin,
Mansfield, Mofsier/Mossier, Parker, Poet, Poultney, Riddle, Sholes/Shales,
Shoup, Sparks, Stone, Tutman, Thompson, Troub, West, Woods.
I've got several Frakes, Freaks and Friggs in Bedford county during the
1760's and 1770's. I'm interested in finding out if anyone has information
on these allied surnames and the placenames/areas where they occur. Will
share what I've got, more details available...See below for
examples/abstracts of records...
Also looking to find out, where are Dixon's Run? Sugar Tree Bottom/Sugar
Bottom? Springhill township? Tussey's Run? Little Valley? Brush Creek?

Fricks, Henry; Survey for 100acres on Juniata Cr.; 20 Sept. 1762; no
associated names on record.
Friggs, Henry; Warrant dated 28 May 1766 for 300 acres on Raystown Branch of
Juniata; sold to John Anderson 9 July 1812. Also George and Henry Woods on
the record.
Mansfield, Hunt. 150 acres at mouth of Dixon's Run, incl. Sugar Bottom,
about 2 miles from Henry Friggs.
FRIGS, Henry, 30 September 1766, to John MOFSIER/MOSSIER?
MOFSIER/MOSSIER, Henry, 30 September 1766, applies for 300 acres on a Run
that empties into Raystown Creek upon the South.
MOFSIER/MOSSIER, Henry, 30 September 1766, applies for 200 acres on said
Run.
STONE, Frederick, 30 September 1766, applies for 300 acres situate on
Raystown Creek adjoining to and above Survey made to Henry FRIGS including
Sugar Tree Bottom to Frederickstown

inhabitants of the township of 'Baree', setting forth the necessity of a
road leading from the Standing Stone or Hart's Log by Bouquet's Spring (at
McConnellstown) and up Woodcock Valley to the crossings of Yellow Creek, and
from thence to join the great road near Bloody Run, now Everett, ..Robert
