Daniel Igou, a yoeman, resided in Huntingdon County. His will was dated June
16, 1781. His wife was not named. The executors were Francis Hamilton and
Samuel Drake. Witnessed by James Igou and Benjamin S. Wilcocks.

married in Huntingdon Co., PA c1790 to aJonathan Logue, and probably
followed Benjamin Drake to Carter Co., TN c1795. IsaacDrake (1777-1840), s/o
Benjamin Drake moved to Warren Co., TN c1810, and his daughtermarried my
Richard A. LANE. 2 Lane sisters married Logues, and moved with the Lanesfrom
Warren Co., TN, to New Salem, Menard Co., IL in 1827. As you can imagine,
I'vestruggled for years piecing together the TN Lane families, and decided
to see if I could pickup something through the Logue line.

Henry Abraham, Jr., one full-grown wolf killed in 1784. Order dated July 14,
1784. County official was Barnard Dougherty.
Elijah Adams, one grown she-wolf. Order was dated June 1, 1784. County
official was William Proctor.
William Beaman, one full-grown wolf. Order was dated April 19, 1783. County
official was Barnard Dougherty.
Anthony Blackburn, one full-grown wolf. Bounty was 1/5/0 pounds. Order was
dated July 4, 1791. County official was William Proctor.
Richard Brown, 6 grown wolves. Order was dated May 12, 1776. County official
was Abraham Cable.
Thomas Coleman, one full-grown wolf killed on Friday last. Order was dated
May 31, 1784. County official was Barnard Dougherty.
Jacob Countryman, one grown wolf, bounty 1/5/0 pounds. Order dated Dec. 24,
1787. County Official was Abraham Cable.
George Croyl, one wolf puppy. Bounty was ten shillings. Order was dated Aug.
14, 1783. County official was Jacob Saylor.
Frederick Dibert, two grown wolves, with a bounty of twenty shillings each.
Order was dated Dec. 2, 1784. County official was Jacob Sayler (sic), J. P.
(Justice of the Peace).

Edward Gray, two full-grown wolves, bounty of three pounds, fifteen pence,
zero shillings. Order was dated Feb. 14, 1784. County official was John
Canan. Gray also swears that he delivered one full-grown wolf's head at the
house of Edward Beatty to Mathew Dean, Esq., now deceased, who told him he
would enter it as soon as he went home, since which time said Dean's papers
have been burned.

pounds, fifteen shillings. Order was dated June 10, 1786. County official
was John Canan (Canaan?).
Isaac Kilmer, one grown wolf at a bounty of one pound five shillings. Order
was dated Nov. 20, 1790. County official was Abraham Cable.
Benjamin Martin, one mad wolf, bounty of one pound, five shillings. Order
was dated April 22, 1792 by John Anderson and Mathew Taylor, Commissioners:
"As he has sustained considerable damages in consequence of said wolf
being mad."

The order was dated Jan. 10, 1794. County official was John Piper.

Deed, May 7, 1788. Christian Stover of Huntingdon Twp., farmer, and Mary his
wife, to John Wartz of the same place, farmer. Land: 259 1/2 acre tract,
called "Hickory Bottom", located on the northeast side of the
Juniata River, Huntingdon Twp., adjoining Benjamin Drake and vacant land
(being the same tract granted by the Commonwealth to Joseph Pridmore by
patent dated 27 Mar 1787, then in Bedford County. Pridmore and his wife Ann
sold the tract Sept. 11, 1787 to Christian Stover). Wartz has the only
liberty of using, and if thought necessary, of diverting a certain spring,
called Flush Spring, from its natural course. Price: £425. Witnesses:
Richard Wharton and David Stewart.

To look for more Drakes go to http://www.pa-roots.org/data/index.php?100 and
click on SEARCH which is in the second gray line under the logo on the line
starting with GOTO. Click on it and when it opens, fill in the line under
SEARCH MESSAGES with DRAKE BENJAMIN or DRAKE WILLIAM. Leave "Search All
Forums" the way it is, but change the drop-down from "Last 30 Days" to "All
Dates". Leave "All Words" as is. Then click on SEARCH. You will be able
to retrieve the full citation for each hit by clicking on it. This will
search all counties in Pa. Hope you find something.
