Hello Listers:
I have several questions that I'm hoping someone can help me with. Is there a genealogical and/or historical society in Bedford County? Is there someone (professional or amateur) who may have researched Greenfield Township? I am interested in someone on the 1810 census. He was on the 1790 and 1800 census in Washington Co., Maryland in Conococheague Township. On the 1810 census he is in Greenfield, Bedford Co., PA. His name on the 1790 cenus was spelled Christian Hainley; 1800, Christian Hanly;and 1810, Christopher Henly. Two years ago I visited the town of Bedford and made a very quick stop at the very organized Bedford County Courthouse. However, due to the ill health of my husband, I do not foresee a trip to Pennsylvania anytime in my future so I must try to do my genealogical research via mail and email. I would appreciate any addresses as well as suggestions on how to obtain any information on this particular Christopher Henly. My theory is that he is the father of Samuel Hainley, my ancestor.
