Am researching the following surnames in Berks, Northumberland, Schuylkill,
Snyder and Clearfield Counties:

SCHLABIG (original surname of Daniel Schlabig ARRIVED PHILA., PA ON THE
"EDINBURGH"
2 OCT. 1753 AT AGE 29; in STRASSBURGER & HINKE.) following are variations
and some mis-spellings.

SLOBIG
SLOBIC
SCHLOBIG
SLOPPY
SLABIG
SLABIE
I am searching for records identifying the father of Christopher Sloppy
married to Margaret Neitz They lived in Freeburg, Snyder CO., Abt 1838,
then moved to Clearfield CO. Christopher's children: Elizabeth, Daniel,
Henry Jackson, Milton, Philip, Austin, Susan, Edward and Eli.
Christopher's father will most likely provide the connection that links the
Schlabig's in Berks, Northumberland, & Schuylkill CO's to the Sloppy's in
Clearfield CO. Any help with this connection will be greatly appreciated.
