Hi, Listers,

I learn so much about historic books to access through this list! Someone
has mentioned "Catholic Trails West" by Adams and O'Keefe. Could someone
post the whole title and authors' names? When was that book published? I'd
like to see if I can access that one, too, via interlibrary loan.

I'm researching several family lines that ended up eventually in Perry
County OH, near that state's first Catholic Church in Somerset. One of those
lines is descended from Henry Flower (also later cited as Flowers) and his
sons from Berks Co, PA. Another line, GORDON, is--I think--from Washington
Co, Greene Co., or Bedford Co, PA. Another, AMBROSE, seems to have migrated
from Frederick Co, MD through PA to OH. SNIDER family members and
RINEHART/REINHART family members also intermarried with the FLOWER/S line as
they progressed westward.

My problem is, don't know exactly WHERE in PA all these families were since
FLOWERS left Berks Co. I DO know they were Catholic, and seemed to follow
the initial push westward of Catholic priests through PA (i.e. the
Goshenhoppen enclave) to OH. Perhaps this book would give me a few clues as
to Catholic points to research between Berks and OH. If anyone has this
book, and could scan the index for these family names or geographic
locations, I would appreciate hearing fr you!

Thx in advance --Jacqi
