I'm looking for information on the origins and family of Henrich
Harsch. He was born 8 Feb 1770 in Berks Co., married 2 Nov 1794 in
Berks Co., and died 15 Aug 1829 in Lewisburg, Union Co., PA. He is
found on the 1800 Heidlebergh Twp. census, and in the records of the
Host Reformed Church in Tulpehocken Twp. He had nine children, i.e.;
George, Jacob, William, Elizabeth, Maria, Samuel, Peter, Joel, and
Angeline. The first three were born in Heidleberg Twp. the last four in
Tulpehocken Twp.

I have nothing to verify it but I think he was the son of Martin and
Barbara Harsch. Martin emigrated in 1752 on the Edinburg from Rotterdam
and was a schoolmaster in Albany Twp. I believe them to be from the
Palatinate.
