Roxie,
I checked my records of St. Michael's Church (burials and baptisms) and
didn't find your Jacob listed as buried in the cemetery. I had relatives in
Centreport who belonged to St. Michael's so thought it possible yours did
too. The baptismal records I have start in 1810. On the chance that your
Jacob was baptised when he was 5 or more, I checked. There are a lot of
Klein/Klines including:

Jacob Klein and wife, Magdalena had 7 children baptised at St. Michael's
between 1816-1828 including a son, Jacob in 1818. This doesn't appear to be
the family you're looking for. It's the only Jacob Klein/Kline baptism
listed.

A second family (?) Jacob and Maria Klein had
Daniel b. 13 Mar 1824, bpt 23 May 1824, sponsors were George and
Magdalena Kauffman.
This Jacob would be old enough (19) to be your Jacob but there is no
evidence that it is.

I also checked a centennial history of the borough of Centreport (1884-1984)
by Milton K. and Luella E. Blatt. There is a photo of a Kline family taken
about 1915. There is a copy of an indenture transferring ownership of the
Kline farm, south of town from Christophel Kline to Benjamin H. Kline in
1870. There are no "Klein's" and no Jacob "Kline" in the index. There
doesn't seem to be any mention of earlier Kline families.

I have a Jacob KLINE/KLEIN born 8-24-1805 at Centerport, which I believe
to be in Berks County. Would anyone have info regarding parents or
siblings? Also, are birth or census records available available for this
time period?
Thanks!
